
Last Day to Defer 2020-21 Ikon Pass to 2021-22
Tomorrow, April 11, 2021, is the last day for 2020-21 Ikon Pass holders who did not use their pass this season to defer the credit to the 2021-22 season. Credits will start appearing in passholder accounts on April 19.

Reservation Restrictions Lifted at Several Ikon Resorts
Access to Aspen/Snowmass, Brighton, Crystal, and Winter Park is now completely reservation-free. Parking reservations have been completely eliminated at Killington and Pico, while these restrictions have been considerably relaxed at Copper, Eldora, and Snowbird.

With COVID-19 cases continuing to persist across North America, we’re seeing some resorts tighten capacity restrictions or push back openings, either voluntarily or by state mandate. As you debate whether to book a trip this season, we’ve decided to aggregate all we know in one place.

Winter Park Axes Reservation Requirement After 2pm
Winter Park has announced that for the final two hours of each ski day, it will no longer mandate a reservation to access the resort. Reservations will still be required at earlier times.

Winter Park to Implement 2020-21 Reservation System After Extraordinary Early Season Lines
Following two weeks of substantial resort demand, Winter Park announced a new lift-access reservation policy for all Ikon and season passholders. Starting December 19, passholders will need reservations to ski at this Colorado resort.

California Bars Day-of Ticket Sales at Ski Resorts This Season
To limit mountain capacity and discourage last-minute traveling, California will no longer allow resorts to sell day-of lift tickets this season. Resorts are also asked to limit parking to ticket and pass holders only.

Many Holdout North American Destination Resorts to Open This Week, Parking Reservations at Copper and Snowbird Already Filling Up

Winter Park Pushes Back 2020-21 Opening Date
Earlier today, Winter Park announced it would be delaying its 2020-21 opening day. The resort now says it plans to open on November 30 at the earliest.

Winter Park Express Ski Train Suspended for the 2020-21 Season
In a joint statement today, Amtrak and Winter Park announced the suspension of all Winter Park Express train service for the 2020-21 winter season. Plans call for the Denver-to-resort service to return in January 2022.

Alterra Releases 2020-21 Lift Ticket and Ikon Pass Reservation Policies (Many Resorts Don’t Require One)
Alterra released their initial ticket and pass policies for the upcoming winter today. Many Ikon resorts, including the overwhelming majority of unlimited destinations, will not require reservations. However, multi-day pass products for Alterra-owned mountains will be severely limited.
